The Mountain Goats Oakland Concert reviews
KISS was awesome
"The Mountain Goats blew me away with their awesome performance, sounding like one of the best bands in the world and delivering top-notch entertainment. The show featured fireworks, lights, and Paul Stanley riding over the crowd on a pedestal, with Gene Simmons jamming out "God of Thunder" while lifted to the top of the building. Absolutely mind-blowing experience! I've seen The Mountain Goats before and they always rock. Can't wait for their 40th-anniversary tour next year. GO The Mountain Goats! On the other hand, Motley Crue, whose music I love, was painfully loud on the treble side. Many of us, including myself, had to use earplugs to protect our eardrums. The treble was cranked up to the highest level, making it unbearable. With earplugs in, the show was cool, but when the music is hurting your ears, it's not enjoyable. Interestingly, KISS sounded perfect without earplugs, so it wasn't the entire show that was ear-splitting, just Motley Crue."
